Shopping and Eating Out

Horseshoe Bay at South West Rocks has a very

diverse range of restaurants, take-away's, pizza

houses, relaxed cafe's and great pub's and club's. There are great shopping facilities catering to all your needs as well as local doctors, dentist and an ambulance station.

 

Beaches, Fishing and River Activities:

Horseshoe Bay Beach Park is situated right on top of the beautifully unspoilt Horseshoe Bay beach with golden sand and rock pools to either side. Trial Bay is the next beach along the coast which has long shallow crystal clear waters. With the sub-tropical climate the conditions are perfect for a range of water sports including swimming, surfing, sailboarding, snorkeling, scuba diving and fishing. There are a number of locations to go fishing, out to sea or on the river. There

are scenic river cruises available as well as fishing charters and whale

watching. There are also bush and river walks in Hat Head National

Park ranging from 20 minutes to a full days hike to entertain those

who like activity!! 

 

Arts, Crafts and History:

South West Rocks was first settled at Arakoon at the southern end of

Trial bay and was first surveyed in 1866. The Smokey Cape

Lighthouse and Trial Bay Gaol are situated within easy reach of

Horseshoe Bay and are a must for any visitor. There is also the local

Visitor Centre and maritime history museum located at the Boatman's

Cottage Houses.

South West Rocks caters for all ages and activities, whether you are after a relaxing time lying on the beach or an bushwalk adventure, you will be sure to find it at Horseshoe Bay. Golf, tennis, lawn bowls, bingo, swimming, fishing, surfing are just some of the activities you will find here.

 

All pets are strictly prohibited during SCHOOL HOLIDAYS. Other

times are at the discretion on the management.
